As an Integrative Counsellor - Coach (Personal Consultant) I view life as a rich tapestry with many story lines, narratives and situations which make us who we are. I believe that everyone has the ability to lead a happy and fulfilling life where they hold the ability within themselves to find a way forward. My philosophy is rooted in the belief that mental and emotional well-being are integral to overall health, that therapy and coaching can be a powerful tool for achieving this balance. I also believe that one size does not fit all, and no two people or situation are the same. 

Its sometimes thought that counsellors, psychotherapists, and coaches are the experts in life and the self. I view this as a misconception. We are not experts, nor should we be placed on a pedestal. 

I like to view you as the expert in yourself and your world. We are of equals and simply put, people just trying to get by in this world day to day. 

I vison our way of working no differently to explorers, where you hold the compass and I hold the map. Collaborating jointly as we explore and understand.

I'm fully insured, advanced DBS checked and a registered member of both the BACP counselling and coaching divisions. Holding a MSc degree in the unique field of Integrative Counselling & Coaching. 

I aim to meet the unique needs of yourself in a confidential, non-judgmental, inviting, and safe setting. Where warmth and compassion allow us to work together. 

We can all have our struggles within life, I'm no stranger to them, life has brought me many ups and downs over the time. I struggle with dyslexia, as you might have seen within my website, there are probably some spelling mistakes. We are human and perfection is only in the eye of the beholder. Over the years, I've learnt to only measure myself by my own measurement stick and embrace my uniqueness.

I lead and participate within research to enhance our specialism and the wider field of Counselling, Psychotherapy and Coaching. Seeking to develop insights for effective approaches, develop new understandings and finding ways for ensuring ethical, safe and secure therapeutic relationship.

• Exploring how the lived experiences & training of integrative counsellors and coaches influences the therapeutic work with clients
  • My most resent research is within understanding the uniqueness of Integrative Counsellors and Coaches and if any of their personal life experiences poses an impact towards the therapeutic work. My research aims to build an understanding that can help increase the overall self-awareness of practitioners and the therapeutic relationship. The research findings are due to be published mid 2024. 

Substance Misuse - Drugs, Alcohol, Gambling, Social Media & Porn

I have hands on experience working within a substance misuse service (CGL Bromley). Collaborating with recovery teams, medical teams and rehab services, where I provided counselling and coaching within the recovery and relapse prevention stages to support clients in understanding themselves and creating strategies for a healthier life. 

From experience within the tech industry, I also have an in-depth understanding towards the effects of social media and how this can also be challenging for people who feel this has taken over their life's and making them feel more disconnected. 

I deeply understand that shame and guilt can be wrapped into misuse. I do not like to describe the use of substances, alcohol, gambling and social media with the usual terminology. From experience, I see it as a strategy to get by, survive and feel safe. We all do, and use different things to help us feel okay. Sometimes what once helped can now hinder us. I refer to these challenges as just living. Being human and a person. I do not judge and fully understand the challenges being faced.

Leadership Coaching

My expertise within leadership coaching has equally been developed with over 10 years of hands on experience of managing and growing leaders within the fast pace tech world of software engineering. Where I was a Software Quality Assurance Manager, overseeing the department, creating technical strategies, growing CI/CD automation tools and finding solutions to automated delivery within the department and business.

With overseeing the department it was one of my cores focuses in fostering a transformational department by growing a talented, effective and grounded team of leaders who could support their peers within the department and be as effective as possible for their teams and the business success.

This meant I coached leaders from their hummable beginnings and those who are experienced into becoming seasoned, grounded, attuned and transformational.

Along the way, I developed job architectures, career development frameworks spanning across entry level roles into more senor technical and management roles, career progression, career development techniques and employing effective but transformational coaching tools.
